    What would build men?

Well I have just thought about it recently but what would build UNSC soldiers? What would build the Covenant?

They would probably pull a rip off The Space Marines in Dawn of War. How whenever you "buy" something it is dropped off by a pelican from a ship orbiting around the planet. Or maybe there will be certain factories the player must capture on the map. Just a few ideas.
Now listen up! Back in my day, we didn't have fancy tanks! We had sticks. Two stick and a rock for the entire platoon! And we had to share the rock! You should consider yourself very lucky marines!

But i hope it isnt 1 man at a time. cos the UNSC dont train 1 marine at a time. i hope u receive them in squads. or platoons.

Probably from a pelican because from Halo & Halo 2, warthogs, and tanks were dropped off by them.
Now if that is so, what about the covenant? xD

    Re: What would build men?

what they could do is...have a set amount of units at the beginning of a game(or mission) and then you can call air support to call in extra marines or tanks or what have you( or even hell jumpers).  This is would also work for multiplayer..having a set amount of units at the beginning and then every five or ten minutes more reinforcements come at the edge of the map....that way if you have, say...I don't know....a really cheap unit, it's not like your going to get an abundance of them by just making them.  This also allows you to actually think about your strategy instead of throwing large amounts of units at your enemy.  Also I think Infantry should come in groups of 10-15 of which you can break apart to cover wider areas. This makes it so you don't have to gather any resourses, because really what would the UNSC need to gather to get more vehicles and marines, they are already either on the ground or on the ships in orbit?  All they are there for is to stop the Covenant, not to make settlements.

    Re: What would build men?

Im hoping they do a system that is a combination of Star Wars Force Commander and Star Wars EaW.  For example: You should earn points for finishing objectives, killing enemy units, and holding designated high value income places.  There will be a set max (pop count) of what you can have on the battle field at any given time.  You can bring down anything you have on your starship (through pelicans or the HEV pods) to the surface for free until you max out your pop count.  To get units on your starship, you have to use the points you earn in ground engagements (and space encounters if they add that) to 'buy' and have more reinforcements shipped in from other UNSC carriers and/or planets (where they come from isnt so imporant).  You could also use your orbiting carrier to call in for air support.  When you call for reinforcments or retriet from space, your pelicans will stand the risk of being shot down from ground anti air batteries or enemy air support so to guarentee safe landing in a hot spot, your existing ground forces and your starships air support will need to make sure that the LZ is clear of hostiles to guarentee a safe landing.

    Re: What would build men?

lol, chances are it'll be squads jsut so gameplay is smoother, but they may switch it up

it could just be barracks, but the pelican drop off thing would be nice, liek u build landing pads and the pelis land with whatever u order

then the covenant would just use phantoms and spirits, or grav lifts
