Yes i know this has probably been bleed to death but i got to know what other people think, your facing 2 wraiths that have just fired mortars at you, 4 choppers closing in, you have a brute shot with full ammo, 2 frags and a rocket launcher but no ammo. there is a gauss warthog 20 seconds away with 2 marines in it and there is rocket launcher ammo in front of you. what would you do.

Use the Warthog as if you James Bond, or Neo, The Marines will handle the rest. When you can't do that anymore, corner a wraith with it, and jack it.

Grab the ammo quickly, jump out of the way of the wraith rounds. Then reload while backpedaling away from them(NEVER turn your back to your enemy!) Then fire them into the wraiths. Switch to your brute shot and fire the entire clip into the brute driving one of the choppers. Jump onto the chopper and procceed to destroy the others. If you are lucky you will survive.

If you are shitty at Halo, then, well, just run away and hope the marines can hold them off long enough for you to find a good place to hide.

I got a worst case scenario.

There is an enemy wraith, it has both a driver and an enemy on the plasma turret. Two prowlers are coming at you from off two the right, both fully loaded. You are taking cover behind a small barricade, but there are five brutes trying to flank you, with ten more pounding your position. There are also fifteen grunts, two of which are carrying fuel rods, that are being brought in by a couple of phantoms.

You have two ODSTs with BRs and a full squad of marines with you, all marines are armed with standard ARs. You have a battle rifle and a sniper rifle(sniper rifle has no ammo), there is a rocket launcher off to your right ten meters. Sniper rifle ammo is five meters behind you. You also have two frag grenades and a single plasma grenade. There is a gauss warthog that is unmanned thirty yards to your left. But trying to get to it will most likely end with your death.
What do you do?

Okay, to be honest, I have no idea how any one could beat that. :D

But here is what I would do.

Push a couple of marines out to the right. Then back track, retrieve the sniper rifle ammo, throw a frag grenade to knock out a few of the flanking brutes. Throwing my final grenade into the ten other brutes. Then snipe the brute driver out of one of the prowlers. Throw the plasma grenade and stick the other prowler. Move to my right, letting the marines and ODSTs cover me. I drop the BR and pick up the rocket launcher. Then I fire both rockets into the wraith. Then on the second pair, I would put one in the remaining prowler, then finish off the survivors of my frag grenades with the second. Drop the now empty RL and pick up the BR, then pick off the final brutes that had been flanking me. Sprint to the gauss hog and blast the incoming phantoms out of the sky, taking the grunt reinforcements with them.

It might not work, all of it is very risky.

Scenario of Unescapable Doom;

Welcome to Hell.

 You're behind a wall.Your equiped with a pistol and a battle rifle.You have absolutly no ammo. You have one ODST and three marines. There's a Scorpian MBT about 50m away. Behind you about 10m is a Fuel Rod gun. You are being strafed by a pair of Banshees, while a Wraith, a Prowler and two Choppers are moving towards you. You have an entire contingent of Grunts (25) 15 with plasma pistols, 7 with needlers and 3 with Fuel Rod guns) and 15 Brute Minors. In the rear are 10 Brute Regulars, 5 Brute Captains (3 Blue, 2 Gold) and to make it a Coup de Tete, a pair of Brute Warchieftans with Fuelrod Guns.

You are pinned down by a pair of Jackal Snipers armed with Beam rifles. But about 5m away is a pair of Plasma grenades, and a Carbine.

So how do you die?
