Fall of Reach (Before Halo 1)

    The Flood (During Halo 1)

First Strike (A tiny bit During Halo 1 but mainly between Halo 1 and 2)

Ghost Of Onyx (During Halo 2 and Halo 3)(I Think)

the flood, is beter classified as halo 1 in book form, plus a fewlittle other things during that time period

and first strike has a lot during the halo 1 time period because of that time thing with the crystal, how john is on halo for 3 weeks, but he gets back to reach, like.....1 week after he left

Technically, John-117 was only at Alpha Halo for five days (slip space can take a very long time to travel through). However, the anomoly did send him back about 17 days.

its not an a anomoly per se. but more like this: The crystal bends space, time and gravity. John and Cortana were on an event path intersecting the crystals they HAD to be THERE to rendevous and pick them up from Reach. 17 days later. --First Stike

Damn, why didn't the UNSC discover that crystal earlier when they were digging titanium mines? Then they could change about everything, know about the size of the Covenant fleet when it attacks. Prepare for lots of MAC platforms and give them a good reception like on Earth. 300 Super MAC platforms....How could have the UNSC afforded that?

Its interesting that the humans never did manage to find the ancient forerunner ruins and artifcats that exist on many of the planets that were under their control (except for on Onyx which was almost completely ignored).  Its hard to fathom how humanity could miss structures that are miles long and have been sitting on their home world since before human civilization began, especially since Earth is suffering from overpopulation and there are most likely very small amounts of uninhabited land left on the Earth to hide such enormous wonders under the soil.  It kind of stupid that humanity never got into contact with these ruins at some point in history, but i guess the Halo plot line wouldnt be possible of they had lol.

Technically, ONI may be well aware of them, but, like Onyx, can't find a use for them and just leaves them be, or leaves a skeleton team to research them.
