Microsoft Game Studios has revealed the box art for the Xbox 360 exclusive Halo Wars.

The artwork comes from the same team of artists behind Bungie's Halo 2 and Halo 3. The similarities are pretty obvious.

We'll have some new Halo Wars screens to share shortly, so until then, check out the box art below and keep your eyes open for more Halo Wars updates in the near future.

Halo Wars is currently scheduled to deploy into stores sometime in the first half of 2009.

Well, there's only two things that bother me in this pic:

1. The Chest Armor spacing between the neck and the head looks odd to me, if not makes them look stupid.

2. The SPARTAN in the front has an MA5C which was around until 2553. The Assault Rifle that should be there is the MA5B. Has no one other than me seen this is what they have in the Five Long Years Vid and this? Possibly even in the game itself?

Other than that, it's sweet.

I yhink it looks pretty good but the spartans look a little disconected from the rest of the picture now what i mean? But for the rest its pretty much exactly what i thought it would be.

The MA5B's Barrel is shorter as the MA5C's is longer.

The MA5B's Bump Ammo Counter slight rises in height after the front ramp as the MA5C's stays the same after the ramp.

The MA5B has a different sound then the MA5C's. The sound u hear in the Five Long Years Trailer of the Assault Rifle is the MA5C's sound.

i am. this is similar to the leak of the halo 3 booklet cover with the chaingun the looked photoshopped but that was sadly real.

Ok, there's something called "Looking too much into it." All the differences you pointed out may just be Bungie simply improve graphics and past models. Ever seen Cortana's original appearance? Looks alot different from from Halo 3, doesn't she?

The only real difference between the two besides  Bungie's rather stupid choice to basically make two guns instead of one, is about 7 years of graphical improvements. 

Also Vigil, the gun that Spartan is holding in one hand is a smg, not a shotgun. Just look at the size difference between that gun and the shotgun the Spartan on the right is holding.
