We all know that Johnson is captured during the mission "The Covenant", but what is strange is that he is taken behind the barrier while it is still active. So, is this just a small glitch-in-the-system, or is there a way to pass the barrier without completely lowering it?

i do not exactly recall but i believe that he is put behind it then it is activated........ i dont remember though, it could work kindof like a one way mirror..... in but not out, it would make sense if a elites personal shield worked on the oposite principle otherwise i would see the elite suffocating lol..... idk its late...... and im tired

Yeah, probably heavy blass (no f-ing idea how to spell it) doors that can be opened manually, like the one you roll through after deactivating the third barrier.

Ever thought about the fact it MIGHT works the same way as a Bubble Shield? only on a GRAND-SCALE?

That works, it may also just be a complete barrier that stops everything and prevents stuff like
Half Jaw's Carrier from burning the inside to ashes, with a small passage open regardless of the barrier being active or not.

i always thought that the barrier only prevented ships form passing thruogh. interesting.

does anyone here watch stargate? in one of their earlier episodes they tryed to kill one of those gouled(spelling?) god things but he had a sheild that prevented anything thats moveing at a sertain speed or more to pass through.

i thought the barrier was the same except it prevented ships from passing through. thats what i thought.

Heh, I can't believe none of you have actually mentioned this yet.

 

Remember the hole in the rock wall, that leads to the giant basin?  Yeah, that one....Thats the hole in which they took Johnson.
