I have read many a forum thread and in almost all of them someone or almost everyone is complaining about the cyclops in Halo Wars. I personally am tired of it and am saying: 1. It's in the game already and not leaving, sorry but it's true. 2. How do any of you know it will ruin the game when you have yet to play. 3. Many people also argue that it is not canon, well just because bungie or the books didn't mention it doesn't mean it's non-canon.

If you agree with me thank you and if you disagree please tell me why and I will try to listen and reply politely.Thank you for your time.

 

p.s. I am aware that this probably has been discussed before but I am posting this for any fresh thoughts.

EDIT:I still have hope for this game despite all the rumors,changes, and additions/outtakes.

i agree most of canon is fan made anyways so like why not the br was introdused in halo 2 but showed on contact harvest witch was the frist battle agasnit coveis soall because something new donest mean its not canon

Omg, I can totally contradict all you just said about it not being canon and a lot of other things, but it would be pointless cause their are too many people who are just here cause its a "Halo" game and honestly don't care about the story or canon but how fun it is.

And I'm sure it's going to be deleted or locked, so go browse some other threads or ask Casey about why some people don't like it and complain about it not being story told cause I'm honestly almost done with Halo Wars, and I'm like noticing everyone from 2007 is dissapearing after E3 08.

I do care about the story and canon but there are people on this forum complaining about non-canon when they do not know whether it really is canon or not, as far as i know the Halo Bible has not been released for fans to read.

it is canon, bungie did say that there are vehicles that haven't been in the books nor games that do exist

It's not about it not being canon, it's just the feel to it.

If you truley know Halo, you would know that it just doesn't fit it and it's not Halo. Since when are mechs in Halo?

I'm sure that if they were going to have a prototype of a mech amour that they would at least put guns on it, rather then it jumping 30 feet high then slam the vehicle with it's metal fists.

And this can go on and on but I'm just tired of people and now I know why most e307 people are leaving.

This is a good example of why I'm tired of the game.

In my book Fan Fact is called "canon" and Developer fact is called "Timeline" or "Plot" or "Story". Big difference, Developer counts for something and fan fact is just dorks with no life and wont except that the Developer decided they should add something new to the game.

I'm not gonna argue anymore, it's pointless unless you've been here for at least a 6 months to understand what people are coming from when they say it's not canon.

And BTW the book said that the mech was made for moving supplies around the base and not made for attacking, but obviously (of course) ES just decided to use it as a unit that jumps high in the air and smashes vehicles.

So if you call the mech canonically correct then I'm worried.
