As they all headed out of the armory they were immediatially bombarded by bullets. "Ok, Peterson take ten and take em' out using that flank over there," Sarge said as he pointed to the right of the rebels "me and the other ten will stay here and give you surpressive fire. GO! NOW!". And that was when Peterson realized Sarge liked him, unfortunatally he was standing up when he realized this and he was shot... in the ass. At this point Olson was on the ground cracking up... then Sarge shot him in the toe and said "What the **ck are you laughing at, a team member is down and your the ***king medic help him!"
Chapter 2: Crack Shot
After Olson got Peterson patched up they succesfully flank and kill the rebels. They were heading towards the base entrance when Olson stopped all of a sudden and Sarge asks, "What now Olson?!". Olson replied, "I don't know, ohh wait I know now, I gotta take a piss". "Idiot, come on we gotta keep moving and reach the entrance, we were only on the whole other side of the base when this started" Sarge said. Then they were ambushed by a group of rebels, luckily they were near cover and they got to it, but unfortunatly Coburn didn't make it. "COBURN!!" yelled Vasquez who was his step-brother. Peterson rushed out and grabed Coburn, and his hand that was lying next to him. "**it!" Peterson said as he dragged Coburn back to Olson, he also hit a rebel in the eye with his MA5B when he was still dragging him. Everybody in that battle made it out, except Coburn, his hand was beyond repair and he had massive blood loss. His last words were to his crying step-brother "Make it out alive".
They were ambushed 2 more times and nobody got killed but everybody was morally hurt, especially Vasquez. When they finally made it to the entrance there was no one there so they walked out into the middle of an intersection. "Peterson go open the gate everybody else cover the three roads and Peterson and let's get the hell outta here" Then one last time they were ambushed and they won but Vasquez went crazy and yelled "TAKE ME ***KING TAKE ME ALREADY TAKE ME TO MY BROTH..." and that was it. Peterson finally opened the gate and they were walking out when an enemy who was pretending to be dead grabbed Olson and Olson yelled "SOMEONE ***KING SHOOT HIM ALREADY I DON'T WANT TO DIE" then a knife went straight through the rebel's eye. Then someone in Spartan armor appeared behind the rebel. Olson said "Thanks and who the hell are you?!". The Spartan said "Who am I?!" "I'm The Sparhawk"
...As they dove into cover the hundreds of rebels opened fire, fortunately they were not well trained and were spray n' prayin'. The O.D.S.T.'s opened fire behind cover with only their head sticking out. "Yeah! I shot off the one guy's head" said Olson. "Lucky shot" said Jackson. Taking off another rebels head Olson said "No, I'm just that good". "No you're just a cocky ***tard" added Jones. "Shutup and shoot those cocky ***tards" said Sarge pointing at the rebels. "**it!" yelled Peterson "I'm out". "Here take these," said Olson handing him 2 handguns and 5 clips "10 bullets each clip". "Thanks Olso..." replied Peterson but was cut of by Sarge, "Where the hell did you get those Olson?!". "I got them off of a rebel" said Olson. "Good, cause... ha that's the handgun from the armory!". "Sorry had to grab them, they're awesome". "Fine, as long as Peterson's using them" said Sarge.
They got out of that battle with almost no ammo, and they wouldn't have gotten out if the stupid rebels hadn't set up in a place where they had no cover. "Ok clip check guys" said Sarge. "5, 6, 4, 9, 10, 2, 9, 7, 5, 3, 11, 4, 9 etc." they replied. "Wait," said Sarge "I only heard 17 numbers". They all looked around and they saw Olson facing the wall of a factory they were near. Olson turned his head around and said, "Ha, I said I needed to take a piss". He finished and walked back to the group, then Sarge started to say "Okay the base is inly two miles..." but was inturrupted by something that sounded like rain hitting a roof. "What is tht sound?" Sarge asked. Then Olson stepped out from behind Jones and said "And that's for calling me a cocky ***tard" then he zipped up his pants.
Chapter 6: Throwin' Up... In Style February 15, 2551 Operation Kiss-Kiss
Peterson hated this part... insertion. It was the single most nauseating thing he had ever felt. He was on the ground now thank God. He had to take off his helmet to throw up. Olson responded to this by saying "You ain't gettin' no kiss from me this year". Which then made Sarge step on his foot. "Ok rally up guys," said Sarge "we know the drill right". He got nods from everybody. "Okay then, Olson, tell me the plan". "Okay, um... Operation Kiss-Kiss, we go into the rebel base kill em' all and retrieve the package" said Olson. "And what is the package?" replied Sarge. "Um... ughh... 2 cut down nuclear warheads" replied Olson. "Good, but one thing is wrong," said Sarge "THE PACKAGE IS A REBEL GENERAL!". "Ok sorry, geez now can we go do this and get home?" said Olson. "Yes, now let's go". Peterson walked up to Olson after they started to head out to the rebel base and said, "Seriously Olson, nukes?" "Shutup, or I'll piss on you too"
When they got to the rebel base they went through who was doing what this mission. "Okay, Peterson, Jackson, Brown, and Olson your with me," said Sarge "Sniper team one will be Garcia, Beck, Weatherson, and Jones, Sniper team two is Paulson, Sanchez, North, and McNamara, the rest of you, take out the entrance guards for my team and open the entrance then stay out here and watch for backup... okay sniper teams will enter on oppisite sides of the building with the plastic explosive you have when I give you the word okay?" Everybody nodded. "Ok let's do this then" When the entrance team got to the entrance there was 10 rebels, then when they were done with them, there was 10 headless rebel bodies on the ground. The capture team entered the building and Sarge told the sniper teams to blow the charges. Two explosions shook the building simoultaniously and darkness engulfed them...
Chapter 7: I Don't Need Those Feburary 15, 2551 22:23
... "Well that was unexpected," said Olson.
"Thank God Olson.. brought.. the night-vis... did you bring them Olson?!" said Sarge
"Yeah Sarge, here you guys go" said Olson finding the team through the darkness.
Peterson put his on and looked at Olson and said "What, your not gonna wear any?"
"No, I don't need those, I've trained my eyes to see in the dark" said Olson
The team watched as Olson walked straight into the wall.
"Okay, yeah I'm going to put em' on" said Olson slipping on a pair.
The team walked around the hallways going through rooms slaughtering defenseless rebels. In one room, the last rebel started firing randomly around the room, Jackson blew off half of his head with his gun, getting blood and bits of brains all over Peterson who was on the other side of the rebel.
"Got a liitle bit of rebel on you Peterson" said Olson flicking off a piece of brain that was on Peterson's shoulder.
"Thanks Olson" said Peterson in a sarcastic voice.
"No problem" responded Olson
They finally got to the final room of the building.
"Sniper teams, where are you?" asked Sarge
"In the room above you looking into the room in front of you." said Garcia
"In the room oppisite from team one" responded Paulson.
"Good, what's in the room?" asked Sarge
"About 10 rebels and the package" said North
"Okay... Beck as soon as the charge I'm setting on the door blows I need you to hit the package in the leg so he goes down, everybody else, aim for the head, got it?"
He got acknowledgements from everybody.
"Okay blowing the charge now"
The charge blew, and the package went down, and so did 10 headless rebels.
"Secure him" said Sarge pointing to the package.
Peterson secured him.
"Guys, call for evac" Sarge told the guys outside.
"On it Sarge" replied Hughes.
In the Pelican everybody was by the cockpit drinking beers except Sanchez, who was supposed to be watching the package, but instead was sleeping. What nobody realized was that teh package had ecscaped the handcuffs he had been in. And now he was walking towards Olson, keeping his eyes trained on Olson's pistol. Peterson turned to Olson only to see the package pulling his gun out of it's holster
"NO!!" yelled Peterson, pulling out his own pistol and firing 3 shots... into the package's head.
"**it!" said Olosn "does this mean we don't get paid".
Chapter 8: Who's Laughing Now March 23, 2251 Operation Ghostly Shadows Objective: Capture Rebel Lt. Kyle Bradley
"Two guards, left buliding, farthest window" said Garcia.
"Can't see them" replied Price.
"You can't miis em', they're the ones laughing" said Garcia
"Okay I see them now, taking the shot" said Price
Price shot and hit one guard through his open mouth, then into the other one's jugular, spraying blood all over both dead guards.
"Who's laughing now" said Garcia, giving Price a high five.
"Okay Sarge, the window guards are gone and we are ready to enter the building" said Price over TEAMCOM.
"Good, now get your as** down here so we can get out of Russia" replied Sarge.
"Hard-**s" muttered Price
"I heard that Garcia" said Sarge.
"But I didn't say.." said Garcia, his voice getting louder.
"Just shutup and get down here" replied Sarge.
When Garcia and Price got down to the ground the rest of the team were at both entrances of the mansion. Sarge waved for them to come with his team. Sarge told them they were only to communicate through the hand moitons he tought them. After that he signaled for both teams to enter the mansion. Nobody was in the hallway Sarge's team entered. Sarge told them to clear the room to the left of the entrance. There was one guard in the room, he was sleeping at a desk. Sarge pointed at Jackson then at the guard and made a motion where he acted as if he was slitting somebody's neck. Jackson pulled out his knife and slowly walked behind the guard and slit his neck, spilling blood all over the now dead guard. A guard entered the room and found 9 guns trained on him. All of a sudden the guard fell down and revealed Olson standing there.
"I bet that dude was a di**" he said, pretty loud too.
An alarm went off.
"What the **ck Olson!" yelled Price.
"Sorry I didn't mean too ugh, well do you agree with me that he was probably a di**?"
"Shutup, we gotta go if we are going to catch this guy" said Sarge.
"But do you guys agree with me?!".
Chapter 9: That... is a Problem
Sarge's team ran down the hallway. He stopped them at a corner, he looked around the corner and was greeted with a bullet flying by his head.
"**it," said Sarge, "okay, Olson, Peterson, and Jackson you stay with me, the rest of you go to the door behind us and see if you can flank these guys".
When the others went through the door Sarge told his team, "Jackson and Olson, when I say go, you guys are going to dive over to the other side of the hallway, alright?"
"Yeah" said Jackson and Olson in unison.
"Okay... GO!" yelled Sarge over the sound of the gunfire.
Sarge reached around the wall and gave Jackson and Olson suppresive fire as they dove. They got over safely and Jackson ended up being closest to the wall so he blind fired. He unloaded a clip and heard 3 lifeless bodies drop to the floor. With a satisfied grunt he switched positions while he reloaded. Sarge risked it and came out and fired 4 shots in to a rebel and killed him. Before going back into cover he saw the rest of his squad coming up behind the rebels guns ready to fire. He told Jackson, who was firing, to stop. They stopped and then hundreds of bullets flew into the wall behind them. They looked out to find the rest of the squad standing there, guns still smoking, along with about 20 rebel bodies with dozens of holes in them.
"Good work," said Sarge walking towards the rest of the squad, "now let's find the rest of the team and get Kyle".
They found the rest of the team in front of a locked, steel door.
"Good to see ya Sarge, okay, the only heat signature that isn't us in this mansion is in behind this door". said Hughes.
"Well why haven't you opened it yet? asked Sarge.
"Because it's a state-of-art lock system and only one person has it, which happens to be our target, that means none of our guys know how to unlock it". replied Hughes.
"I know how to handle this" said Olson holding up his plastic explosive.
"No! This is too important to the military to just blow up!" yelled Hughes.
"Hughes it's fine, Olson blow it up" said Sarge.
"Yes sir"
Olson planted the explosive and told everyone to stand back. He blew the charge and they entered the room. It had one thing in it, something that was ticking, something with a timer, they realized what it was.
"**it!" screamed Sarge, "Olson, disable it now!"
"On it"
Olson started to disable it. Peterson was pacing, he thought he wasn't ever going to see his mom and dad again, his wife, his son. He fought his tears back. The timer was at 2 minutes.
"Hurry up Olson! We don't exactly have all day here!" yelled Sarge.
"Okay almost done" replied Olson.
Sanchez was crying in the corner, he was trying to say he wanted to go home and he wanted to see his mommy but nothing except giberish came out.
"There! It's disabled." yelled Olson with a minute and thirty seconds left on the timer
Everybody sighed.
"Okay guys, outside now" ordered Sarge.
When they got out of the doorway they heard a beeping. They went back into the room with the bomb and discovered the bomb had started ticking.
"What?! Everybody out now! RUN!" yelled Sarge.
Peterson looked back when he left the room to see that there was a minute left. He started counting, to know when he was going to die. They got outside with 15 seconds left. They dove onto the ground and prayed.
"5, 4, 3," counted Peterson.
He got to 1 and nothing happened. He looked up and around, but there was nothing. No grim reaper in the form of a bomb blast coming to take him to hell. Suddenly hundreds of rebels came out and pointed their guns at them.
"Put your guns down and out your hands behind your head" said one of the rebels through a radio that was attached to speakers.
"Do what he says" said Sarge laying his gun down.
Everybody else put their guns down too. Peterson put his hands behind his head. A rebel came up behind him and hit him in the head with his gun. Peterson fell and saw Sarge fall down as well. Then blackness consumed him.
Chapter 10: Applesauce
A bag was pulled from over Peterson's head. He looked around, his vision fuzzy. He saw somebody walk up to him. It was Kyle Bradley.
"Hello, you must be Trey Peterson," he said, "are you afraid of dying?"
"No," said Peterson.
"Good, then would you mind me putting a gun to your head and pulling the trigger?"
"No."
"Why don't you say something else other than no?!" asked Kyle, his voice getting louder.
"Sure, well... hmm... you're a jackass that needs to die!"
Kyle punched Peterson in the face, knocking his tooth out. Peterson spat blood all over Kyle.
"YOU DID NOT! WANT TO DO THAT!" screamed Kyle. He turned to Hughes who was next to Peterson and shot him in the face.
"**CK! WHY DID YOU SHOOT HIM!?" yelled Jones.
Kyle turned and shot Jones 4 times in the chest. Blood started to run out of Jones's mouth. He fell to the floor, then Kyle shot him 3 more times.
"Because he was shivering, he was scared of death, he didn't deserve to live"
Kyle turned back to Peterson, pulled out a bowl of applesauce from his pocket, opened it, and put it on the floor in front to Peterson. Peterson stared up at Kyle with a blank look.
"Eat." ordered Kyle.
Peterson shook his head.
"EAT!" screamed Kyle, shoving his face down next to the applesauce.
Peterson rammed the top of his head into Kyle's crotch, sending Kyle to the floor. Peterson tried to punch him, but his hands were tied to a pole behind him. Kyle got back up, sheer anger in his eyes... he was going to kill Peterson. He was right in front of him when he was tackled by something dark. Several more jumped onto Kyle and they started to tear him limb from limb. He screamed for his mommy and daddy, but the screams were quickly silenced. Kyle's head was thrown into the air and it landed next to Jones's dead body.
When Kyle was nothing more than limbs in a pile, one of the creatures got up and bowed towards Sarge. "I am a Delltis, I and and my brothers were sent here from your superiors to save you."
"About time! I thought I was going to have to eat that piece of **it applesauce" said Olson.
Chapter 11: USMC... Hell Yeah!
The team ran silently through the halls of the warehouse they were in, having the Delltis kill rebels so they could get guns. They found a room with portable radio system.
"Hello? Can anyone hear me? We need help, try to lock onto us" said Sarge after changing the frequency to the standard UNSC frequency.
Static answered him.
"Olson, hold this, tell me if they call"
"Sure, better not be heavy though."
Sarge gave him the radio.
"Oh **it it's heavy."
"Stop whining, or your going to wish you ate that applesauce."
"Do all humans act like this to each other? I do not have much experience with your kind" asked the lead Delltis.
"No, only towards the idiots."
"Ahh, I see."
They started to walk down the hallway. Everybody was still sad about Hughes and Jones. rebels came out of a doorway and fired at them.
"Behind cover!" yelled Sarge, "Delltis, you're with me."
And with that they took cover behind some pillars in the wall and some barrels. Sarge and the Delltis took a hallway leading behind the rebels. The lead Delltis took out the rebel in the back by smashing his head against the wall, squirting brains and blood on a nearby rebel. The rebel turned around, only to be knocked to the ground by the Delltis and his life was cut short when the Delltis pounded his foot against his head, demolishing it completly and making a holle in the ground. The Delltis signaled for everybody to come to him now that all the rebels were dead.
Something came over the radio when they were near the exit.
"Is this Sgt. Manson's captured team?" said a voice over the radio.
"Yes, and we aren't captured anymore" said Olson.
"Okay, we have a lock on your position and we are sending a Pelican for extraction."
"Good, thanks" said Sarge, grabbing the radio from Olson.
"No prob"
"The USMC is coming to save us! Hell yeah!" yelled Olson.
"That's UNSC, idiot" said Jackson.
"**it, I'm stupid" said Olson.
"Yes, yes you are" said Peterson walking past Olson and leaving the building.
Chapter 12: Replacement April 1, 2552
The replacement of Hughes got in today, his name was Hughes. Olson thought that was ironic. Peterson explained that it was coincidental. Olson didn't believe him, figuring it was April Fools Day. And everybody was paranoid that they were on their most dangerous mission, hunting and killing the most dangerous rebel general, Bill Clinton.
Peterson, Olson, Jackson, and the new Hughes were with Sarge. Sarge didn't want the whole team to die if they were ambushed.
"Okay, we have multiple hostiles in the next room," said Hughes, he was a tech sort of guy, "the room seems like a miniature warehouse of some sort".
"Alright, everybody except Hughes coem in with me" said Sarge.
"But.." said Hughes.
"No!" whispered Sarge, "I'm not having the newest recruit die, if you hear gunfire run back to the team as fast as you can and leave".
"No, I"m coming with you".
Sarge sighed, "Fine, but be careful".
"Thank you"
They breached the door and ran to cover, getting fired on in the process. Jackson tried to look over cover but was greeted with a bullet to the face. Sarge called for the first sniper team to come and help .Hughes flipped. He never thought real combat would be this bad. He didn't want to be shot. He pulled out his only grenade, pulled the pin, stood up, and ran...
Epilouge: Rest
A man in a dark suit walked up to Peterson's dead body. He knelled down and everything around them turned black. They were alone in blackness.
He knelled down to Peterson's ear and whispered, "When you awake, find a man named Grant Weaver and tell him, prepare for unforseen conseqeunces".
"Now rest," he said, "for your hour will soon come again".
The man walked away, stopped and turned to his left. What seemed to be a door with a very bright light in it opened . He turned back to Peterson, straightened his tie, turned back, and walked into the door. The door closed and Peterson took a deep breath.
