Absent from the company's list of games due in 2008 are both Alan Wake and Halo Wars. While neither game had previously given hard release dates, both were considered likely for 2008.

Microsoft softened the news of the games not appearing on the 2008 calendar by saying of Halo Wars, "We have not announced a specific timeframe for this title." As for Alan Wake, a Microsoft spokesperson said this morning that "the development of Alan Wake is going great, but we are not confirming any specifics around a release date at this time."

Clearly, neither game will be released this year.

Im pissed off right now too. let me just start by saying bungie would have never done this to us. this is what happens when we let halo expand to other game developers besides bungie. other games get in the way of halo wars like alan wake or whatever its called and they delay the production of the much more popular game halo wars

yeah.. exactly.. im not even just saying this cuz im pissed or cuz i want the game to come out early.. but you start to loose peoples attention .. you need that screenshot or short video here and there to keep your fanbase up in my opinion.. people dont wanna read about sound effects...

yer it really does suck, i got nothing against the sound stuff it my 4th favourite thing in halo after campain, characters, and mulitplayer, but i would also like to know somet else.

you know i would actully except that demo from the demo video, might be nothing like the gmae now but it would actully help, like when was the last screenshot? few months bak?

yeah... a few months back.. maybe theres a point to not putting out all this such as screen shots and such.. u can kinda tell the game isnt close to done though .. i mean if u search halo wars in google, theres not a lot of info at all... like at all.. besides thos 10 year old screenshots they gave us back when we were still kids playing in the sandbox..sheesh...
