    2 people per match!

I looked at the demo again recently, and I noticed something wrong with the radar. The enemies were red, and the UNSC were green. If there are four people playing in a free for all match, then shouldn't their color on the radar be different?

Ex: UNSC purple- shows up purple on the radar.

Ex: Covie orange- shows up orange on the radar.

Of course, this could be because it was in campaign, or because it was early in the making. Or they may even leave the radar that way. How will I differentiate from my enemies?

    lighten up

If Halo Wars follows normal standards for RTS's (which it won't - it will demolish them), in campaign, enemies will probably be red, and in skirmish, enemies will be the color they chose.

Exitus acta probat: the result justifies the deed, or, more commonly, the ends justify the means

ooooh how does that apply to the Halo Wars campaign?

    ^ True.

The covenant should be purple though, not red.

So in campaign... purple-green. It would make sense. Edited: But the standard red for the enemy is fine.

I assume they will be. Halo Wars will be the best RTS for a long time i think, untill halo wars 2 :P

    Interesting opinions...

How about this: the enemies are shown red in radar, ur troops are shown green and allied troops are displayed as blue, neutral ones could be white.

That is interesting, but what if you have multiple enemies, are they all red?

BTW- to whoever told me to lightnen up, I'm not angry, I'm just curious.

no, i think they have to have it like ALL other good RTS games, whatever colour the enemies are ingame they should show up that colour on the map.

Also the colourings look a little extreme atm- Paragon is working on it, so he says.

    Re: 2 people per match!

I would have to say NO TEAM COLORS in campaign. In campaign, vehicles and units should look exactly like they do in the games, without team colors. Team colors in campaign aren't neccessary, because its simply us and them. No middle faction we will need to avoid killing.

As for Radar, just the normal Green and Red. Or we could make it Halo-ish and have it Yellow and Red.

    Re: 2 people per match!

I don't even see what the problem was that he was pointing out.

God forbid the UNSC chose the green color and the Covenant chose the Red color.

    Whoever made this is stupid.

    Re: 2 people per match!

I'm sorry KristallNacht, but OMG! What an idiot! You called me stupid and you can't even see the point of this thread!

    Oh, what a laugh! :)

Anyway, I know that the radar has to be that way in campaign, but what about in a skirmish mode, or on live?

For those of you who are having trouble understanding the point of this thread (KristallNacht) I will try to explain it to you again. I will also be sure to use words with 7 letters max so that you can participate.

On the Demo ( the video under downloads) the radar (thing that bleeps and shows dots) at the top right hand corner of the screen, had allies (friends) as green and enemies (the bad people) as red.

    Still with me?

Well, what if your playing with more than two people? What if one enemy is red, and another is blue? What color shows up on your radar?

You may have to read this over a few times, and you may need to lay down afterwards. That's okay, it's just 'cause your stupid. :)

P.S- Don't insult other people because you think a thread is stupid.
