FORGOTTEN    

                     

                                       Prologue

 

 

          The boy ran through the streets as quick as he could, his foot steps echoing throughout the now silent city. What used to be a loud place alive with the sounds of people and cars was now nothing but silence. He had been running forever it felt like and by now he was covered with sweat, mud, grass and grit. He had run for two miles but it felt to him like a hundred’s. He was becoming exhausted; he needed a rest he thought. A place came into view not too far ahead that looked relatively safe to him, and he had not heard a sound for some time. He ran to the door of the building and slowly opened it expecting to hear the sound of one of those monsters but he heard nothing so he crept in as quite as he could, sat on the floor and after only a few moments he began to sob. It had just sat in that his parents were dead and how one of those monsters had killed his mommy and daddy with a sword that looked as if it was made of pure energy. He must have sat there for some time fore he felt himself falling asleep. He thought that it was ok for him to close his eyes and just rest.

 

 

The boy awoke to the sound of bashing and before he could gain his composure one of the walls suddenly caved in and two tall aliens ran in they quickly saw the boy and snatched him up. one of the aliens looked like the one who killed the boys parents. The alien grabbed the boy by his neck and hoisted him while simultaneously raising his sword and said something that the boy didn’t understand. Just before the boy blacked out he could hear an explosion then what sounded like gunshots then he fell to floor into some sort of purple liquid that looked as though it came from the alien who only a few moments before was holding him by the neck….then all went black…..

                                                   

                                                   

                                          Chapter one

                         

                                       “CONTACT”

               Private Harper stirred in his sleep. He was having a nightmare of his home world of Troy, being glassed by the covenant and watching the house that he had spent his whole life in go up in flames and the dissolve to ash. He then awoke to the sound of someone voice telling him to “wake up”. He jumped up in his bed and he could feel his pulse go up a few beats. The man that was standing next to him virtually yelled in surprise at his sudden alertness and Harper recognized him as private Conson. Private Conson was an Irishman from Dublin who had joined the Marines on his eighteenth birthday. He had conducted his training on Troy along side Harper. They had developed a close friendship since Troy had been glassed by the covenant.

 

 

        “Whoa! Settle down there pal the covenant aren’t attacking.” Said Conson “You looked like you were having a nightmare or something. “  “Yeah I was…about Troy ….about it being glassed” Replied Harper “Well that was five years ago buddy your gonna have to let it go…you cant change the past” Said Conson “Yeah I know but its hard you know…lik—“Before Harper could finish his sentence all of the alarms in the barracks began to go off signaling that something was happening. As the alarms were ringing and waking all of the other marines up Sgt. Parker came into the barracks. “Alright ladies everyone up!! Get your gear on and load your weapons!”  As the Sgt. Came buy Harpers bunk Conson said “Sir! Is this a drill sir or what?” There was a momentary silence then Sgt. Parker replied “I sure do wish it was son…..”

Well as you all can see its not that great but this is just the prologue and if you havent noticed yet it doesnt have name but if any one has any suggestions I would be grateful.

it was good but im not a good writer so i cant really say. ill toss out a sugestion but i need to know the setting of the story

I liked it.At first i thought the monsters were flood then the sword let me know who it was.

Well you got to right more...if you right a prologue then your not gonna have a huge audience.Go along with the story,ask others for help,and hopre for the best.
