Is this thread a joke have any of you read the books, when the chief was like 10 he killed 3 odst with his hands and a pipe i think. Spartans would mess up any odst.

ODST's, who drop from pods that almost half of the time fail them, so they usually die before seeing any combat....or

Spartan's, genetically enhanced super soldiers that could live through it even if there pod thingies did fail. And that have shields, cool armor, and pwn in battle....

I like ODST personally. I think they are cooler for reasons that I don't know.

Spartans would slaughter the ODST though. Why did he kill three in a weight room now?

Definitely spartans beat ODST's. But ODST's are cheaper, and faster to train with similar weapon skills (as far as I've read) though not as reflexive. And though the ODSTs HEV cages fail in the stories, I don't think they're going to implement that in the game, that would leave battles, where you drop in your ODSTs to save the day, to chance.
