Hmm... At the risk of sounding like an idiot, do you members out there think the MC is dead? John-117 was born on the year of 2511. At the end of the war (which I'm presuming was 2552), the masterchief is 41 years old. In the year 2610 the MC has yet to be found as the UNSC finish his statue on this year. Is it possible the Masterchief is never found? On the year 2610, the MC is 99 years old. Kind of old to still fight for the UNSC...

It's possible that, even if he's never found, he could still be alive.  The enhancements could have had the added side affect of lengthening his life span.  Just a though :)

No he wouldn't.   He is six when he is taken in the book, born in 2511.  He would've had to have been born at the end of the war to be in his 60's.

No. In Cryo-tubes, which make up the majority of his life, slow down ageing. So in the games he's like 30.

NTM the fact that at the end of halo 3 he gets into a cryo tube.... because of the extremely low temperatures he is proabaly aging at a rate like 1/200 the speed a normal person does...

I don't think the MC stayed in the cryo tube long. He was in a half torn frigate so there wouldn't have been enough energy to keep the cryotube operational for a long peroid of time.

Doesn't necessarily mean that is when the Arbiter arrived back at Earth. It could have been when that memorial was placed. It probably took weeks to fish Forward Unto Dawn out of the ocean.

the cryo tubes have their own backups... NTM the fact that cortona would probably rerout all abailable power on the ship into keeping herself and the cryotube operational...

 

and if their reactor is still functional....

 

 

after the PoA jettisoned its cryo tubes linda stayed frozen for over a week.... thats without being attached to a power source...

 

i think that they can probably last a while....
