Hello and welcome to the Member of the Month thread.

Each month, we will nominate and then vote for the member of the month.

Nominations will take place throughout the month. In order to be a candidate, you must receive three nominations. Each member may only nominate one person. They may change their nomination, if they would like, but it would be greatly appreciate if they declare that they are changing their nomination, as there will be a lot of nominations to sift through.

Voting will open in the final seven days of the month. On the last day of the month at midnight (GMT), voting will close, the votes will be counted, and a winner will be declared.

Winners, currently, do not receive anything more than bragging rights and satisfaction. A prize is being worked on, but I have not come up with one quite yet.

Well done capn but maybe you should have called this thread :                Member of the Month: February 08.

There is a chance of this competition going on for over a year so if it comes to next year some members may get mixed up with this thread. (especially the newbs)

i tryed to sign my name here - but all i ended up doing was getting permanent marker on the screen
the result justifies the deed

also, I think that the previous MoM, shouldn't be able to be nominated again.  at least until after the next month. If that makes any sense...

Yeah, I think that you should not be able to be member of the month twice in a row.  if you guys don't want to do it that way though... whatever, I was just making a suggestion.  I just don't think that it would be fair for only 2 or 3 people be the member of the month for an entire year.

that would be like excluding people from being employee of the month at your workplace just because theyve had it before...
