    Halo Novels

Great works of art that inspired me to be more than a game fan but a huge fan of the story line. If you like the story better than the game play do tell.

FoR and FS are the best novels, Eric Nylund is a great writer.

Unfortunately it seems alot of people haven't read the Fall of Reach because they would stop asking who the SPARTANS are then.

    Re: Halo Novels

I've read the Fall of Reach and the Flood, and I'll be getting around to reading First Strike soon.  What really struck me about the Halo novels was that, in most cases, books that come from video games are usually poor or average books.  With the Halo novels, they are quality sci-fi books!  You really don't even need to be a fan of the video games to enjoy them.  They've certainly made me enjoy the games more.  They add a whole new layer of depth to the story that I just love.

To anyone that hasn't read them : pick them up and give them a try.  If you love Halo, and you enjoy reading, you'll love them!

Yeah, I've read The Fall of Reach probably five times along with First Strike. Amazing books, and I hate reading with a passion... but those book just kick-ass.

I whole heartedly agree! I also liked Fall of Reach and First Strike better than the Flood but i did love hearing about Alpha base and the marines on halo (installation 4).

    Re: Halo Novels

In any game, one of the first things I look for is a good storyline. I actually read the books first and that's what started me playing the Halo games (and watching Red vs. Blue, etc.). Now, I'm practically obsessed with Halo (and that's not a bad thing Big Smile)
