1 on 1 they do but have you every fought a swarm of them? God they are annoying on Legendary. But they would be to swarm your enemys with swarms of them.......

Captain Jacob Keyes daughter, miranda keys. She isnt in halo 1 but shes in halo 2, does that mean she didnt exist in halo 1? even tho shes like in her 30s in halo 2, and jacob dies in H1. i could be wrong, she could have just appeared.

No, she didn't exist in halo 1. Because her files aren't in the game disk. So yes, she did only come into existance in Halo 2.
