I wouldnt mind but then it would add a human touch to the Covenant and would detract from the feeling of HaloWars that the Covenant are destroying your race and you must stop them at all costs. It would be just like the WC III campaign, even though I loved it, it destroyed the feeling of your races' survival.

No it would not, as one of you said the entire point of Halo is to give you the feeling that you are fighting for your races survival.  They already said you can play as the covenant in multiplayer, but there will only be a UNSC campaign, and talking about it is like talking about space battles, you noobs come in, ignore every post that is made, and say, I say yes, because it would be cool.

Well I'm not going to go into space battles but the thing is that just like this they would have to have made this decision around announcement.  Furthermore your opinion is not going to change their minds.

Sometimes you have to give things more than 5 seconds of thought.

I wonder how multiplayer will work, it would be cool to be able to play as covenant on covenant but then again it might be sort of stupid....

Ensemble can do whatever they want as far as I'm concerned as long as the UNSC campaign is the shizzle. Multiplayer as covenant could be fun but I'm buying it for the campaign.

Yeah, the campaign will be the best part of the game, the muliplayer is just there for afterwards so you don't get bored of replaying it over and over.

And yes the covenant are playable in multiplayer.

You can only beat the campaign so many times before it gets boring.

By that time you don't want to play a campaign at all, that's when you switch to multiplayer, a second campaign will not fix that, especially if it ruins the feel.

I think it will be very bad if u get to play cavenant because as it has been clearly stated that it would destroy your passionate feeling to kill as many covenant bastards as you can. though in multiplayer i think it would be good if you could play the covenant and make bases with their technology because it would make the game more exciting
