so if your screen get's blurrie like the ingame movies that's a warning befor you get red lights ?

my console did the same thing and I have to send it in to be repaired.. and my warranty is out so there's $100, my brothers and I are getting another xbox though so we can play while being repaired and because I am going to college in a year or so and then they won't have a box..so I'm kinda mad but its k..

PS. my xbox broke my COD world at war disk and my Halo wars disk...:( getting halowars again, robot better not disapoint me..

Just printed off the label from Microsoft to send the dam thing in. I put a note inside the box that said:

"With love, from your pissed off customer."

Though, mine was one of the OLD consoles. Like '05-'06 ones. I've known it was a time bomb. And it just went off.

a similar instance happened to me. first started with halo3 and soon after I got halo wars. worked fine for a week or so, next thing i know I boot it up to get online and I get the RRoD. Once I got my xbox back, it made a ratting sound...this discouraged me, but everything worked ok.. So..i'm playing one day and I get "disk read error" and this started happening to me after every match (required a reboot, would allow me to play one game, then happen again). I call xbox and they said to send it back, but she told me to boot up the console w/out the harddrive, which I did and haven't had any problems since...knock on wood.

So I've been playing Halo Wars alot for the past 1-2 months. Today, when I booted up the Xbox all seemed normal. I played a 3v3 match as Cutter, and right around the 9:00 mark, my Xbox Froze. Just froze. Xbox Guide button didn't work, no sound came out of the speakers, and the screen was locked. A reboot is all that solved it.
A few minutes later, I found myself in the same position. At approxamately 9:00, the console freezes again. The only sound that can be heard is my cursing. No sound from the speakers.
I've cleaned the disk several times with the disk-cleaning solution. I've always kept a fan on the vents to keep it cool. I even downloaded HW to my Hard Drive and played it off of the Hard Drive to solve the problem. Still Locks up.
One more thing, and this is probably the clincher: My Xbox was bought back in '05 or '06, whenever they first came out. It has never had General Hardware Failure (aka, RRoD). My friend told me it was a Time-Bomb waiting to happen.
Any ideas?

careful, you might get the RROD soon. If that happen, you will go through 3 weeks of Xbox 360.

Does sound like an issue with your console. Although I know games tend to freeze up if one person in the game as a connection issue (i.e. *** internet) But doing that a few games in a row doesn't sound natural.

This is what happened to me before my rrod. Try playing a different game and sees what happens. If on a different game the same thing happens, its a problem with your console.
