Rotaretilbo:Probably because people can't believe that a game like Halo Wars, which was an ok game if you ignore the disregard to the Halo story, got ranked 12th best Xbox 360 game ever. That Halo Wars would be ranked above Left 4 Dead, Rock Band 2, Modern Warfare 2, and all of the other games listed, is simply ridiculous. I mean, congrats to Robot Studios, but even they should realize that no one that actually knows a thing about gaming will take the list seriously.
Here's the thing though, Rot.
- Left 4 Dead is an old game, it came out last year. It's already gotten it's awards, and for the gaming industry no one stays on top forever.
- Rock Band 2 - as well as the entire music-simulation genre - is an old horse. They dominated for a while, and received several awards already.
- Modern Warfare 2 JUST came out, and isn't the "Messiah Game" that everyone makes it out to be. It's not going to win too many awards in it's first month, I would be willing to bet.
Just because a section of this community doesn't like Halo Wars doesn't mean that a greater majority worldwide don't like it. The online community is a poor indicator of fans who play. I don't play online, yet I'm
still not tired of the campaign, or the skirmish modes. #12 isn't even in the top 10. It's close, but not quite. It's not that horrible of a positioning.
