Aloysius:I'm not paranoid, we had to make a code change to disable signatures because people were abusing them. We either had sigs on or off completely, and I wanted you guys to still have text signatures, so we had to make a code change for that. Code changes for the forums take a good bit of time, so it's not a trivial change to make.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to simply disable HTML and enable BBcode when you changed the code, rather than disabling HTML and aspects of BBcode? I'd imagine that it would be easier to disable HTML than it would be to disable certain types of BBcode.
