um. just a thought really.
let's just say anders is able to grab a hook on Pirth against a forge (and keep it, Forge also has the same set-up as Anders). so voila: tech 2. now, if we have scouted and such..you must of seen the enemy building a VD...well now at tech 2 you have the option of going RPG marines, Tanks, or Hornets, or gremlins, or maybe even some spartans.
if you saw a forge player start to build a VD, you would naturally start thinking about some air units or anti-vehicle units...right? so you build an Air pad. (while at the same time, keeping a constant flow of gremlins) so now, if a Forge decides to keep going on with tanks, you can let the natural counter system work itself out. (you basically put Forges tanks into a corner, if he starts to attack the gremlins. The air will chew him up, if he, for some reason, attacks the hornets. Gremlins will tear him apart.)
Now trying to be clever the Forge might dump the VD for an Air Pad himself. (or maybe set himself up for a RPG marine spam...you know against the gremlins?) but what Forge has done is that he's actually put himself behind...you will get the air pad up first and will be pumping out hornets sooner than he will so you will win the hornet fight through numbers, and let's not forget Anders has the handy Cryo bomb where Forges leader power is useless against air.
*shrugs*...just seems to me that an Anders player can still prevail....but then again, when you speak about how Anders is going to die you mean to say she will die in HIGH lvl play no? hmph maybe, maybe not I'm no top player, but what I do know is that whenever patches like these came out. lots of people would always speculate the worst to come..only to have it ironically stay the same. (speculating Forge could beat Anders with marine spam...didn't work out to be like that sadly)
Idk and Idc with what happens. I will still play Anders mainly (but I might start learning up forge or cutter...heck maybe even a Covie)
