The asking of power was simply because the mods did not respond as fast as the community had hoped for. 

So the "Seniors" began to collaborate about a group of elites that roamed the forum, terminating the spammers and such. Unfortunately the mods took it the wrong way and simply said no.

You can't possibly know what happened in its entirety unless you were actually there to witness it. 

No Lethe took it the wrong way and decided to be very unpleasant with the situation.
