the PoA was'nt used on halo since it crashed and was un-useable it took out 4 cruisors on the way down tho) so that has nothing to do with the ODST being better than the elites so quit saying the PoA has super weapons
Cortana saying 'I'll settle for 4' does not actually mean it took down 4.
Anyway, as I was saying the only real reason the humans were so effective was:
A: the covenant didn't consider them a threat as they were pre-occupied with the flood.
they wanted the humans off the halo so they tried there best to get rid of them but the UNSC took a stand and beat any attack the covenant made, days after both sides where fighting the flood so that has nothing to do with. coz now u just brought the flood into this congrats.
The covenant's main foe was the flood, the covenant took the brunt of the flood attack, the covenant took the brunt of the attack by the sentinels and humans as well, the humans were considered a minor threat.
B: They were pretty much the best of the human soldiers outfitted with special equipment made by ONI for their finest.
As i said before no specail equipment was given to the ODST big woop a VISOR they used standard weapons and equipment just advanced tatics and guerilla warfare won them the battles on halo.
Special equipment was given to the ODSTs, they were part of the pillar of autumn, a cruiser used by many projects of the UNSC, it contained the best of human tech, only an utter and complete idiot would think that the ODSTs hadn't got some of this.
C: They had a Spartan I and a Spartan II.
Johnson is a regular marine with a few improvements big woop,
Very big woop, very big woop indeed, as a Spartan I Johnson was incredibly adept at defeating covenant forces(most marines die to a single grunt).
The MC never helped the ODST's he was to busy trying to find out what the covies where up to the battle for alpha site was because the covies wanted to kill the cheif( he was at the base at the time) but when the attack came he was long gone looking for the control room so it was regular marines and ODST that thought that battle and won, and one attack the UNSC faced both the flood and covies at once and still won
The MC redirected the covenant's attention from the other humans, who were a minor threat and not worthy of much attention.
