Prophet 999: xXN1GHTxMAREXx:Okay. I only know about the point thing. Like you earn points to go up. But whats with the party true skill, and skill level on the stats on the website ( Halowars.com) Need some light to shine on my confusion.
Welcome to the forums!
You earn points each game...(displayed to the right of your leaders icon on the gamestats page)...
And after a ladder of points...you get a new "rank".
This continues to go up, no matter what gametype you play, so long as it is a public game, not a private game.
Seperately...for every single gametype, you start out at a zero trueskill, and continue to go up as you win games.
Depending upon the trueskill of the person, or team you beat, it may go up more, or less. For example...if your first game...you beat a guy who is a trueskill of 10...you might go up to 7. But, if you beat another guy, who also has a trueskill of 0, you might only go to a 2 or 4.
As you move up in trueskill...it becomes harder to gain...and eventually you have to continue to beat people higher then you, to go up. If you face people consistently, who are LOWER...then it will eventually lower your trueskill. (oddly enough)
You may be a true skill of 50 (the max) in standard 1v1, but a trueskill of 4 in standard 2v2 unarranged, simply because you don't play it much.
As for the "game stats" skill level...my understanding is it averages your trueskill..for the gametypes you have played. (Otherwise since you have a zero trueskill by default in all gametypes...it would never go up unless you got high in every gametype)
Very well put.
