What your doing is counterproductive. By trying to create a new community that is "more versatile" than the current one, you steal away the members that were keeping this community alive. this is why most forums ban advertising or limit it to certain areas, so that their members will find the sites rather than be baited to them and away from their site. 

All I know is that I would rather people promoted this forum than made a new one to undermine it.
