If you remeber they got a laser of the cheif to track him in a pod.

At the start of halo 3 the cutscence is the cheif crashing in a pod with the srage at his landing site....

Yes i remember that clip, but they really announced a movie with Blomkamp as the director.

It has been stopped like 3 times due to some studio's business.
