The elite's shields don't work against alow moving things. They just don't ,like, activate if the projectile's slow-which is why the spartans could throw stuff at them.

       But i still think forge should have lost... or at least done something really imaginative like use a remote control snow speeder to trip the arbiter before throwing a bomb into him...
