I read the first post with interest. While the phraseology may be slightly out, I think it offers an interesting perspective on different approaches to the game, and feel it's underlying argument is good.

Unfortunately, it seems a few posters are trying to turn this into the "rushing beats everything, everybody rushes" thread that seems to be dominating the forum lately. There are many threads that specifically talk about this issue, and perhaps their arguments would be better placed elsewhere. This thread deals with a different issue.

My interpretation of the original post is that it decribes the two ends of a scale that determines player style. If two players at different points on the scale were to choose the same strategy, then the games they would each play would be very different.

I will watch this thread, in the hope that it stays on topic, as it could lead to some very in-depth and interesting debate.

You#re pidgeon-holing people into zombies that just want to talk about how great rushing  is. The Multiplayer forum is here to help people improve. After reading, I felt the original post gave off the message that the three possibilities of a rusher vs a turtler were as likely to happen as each other, which isn't true; so I posted what I felt was the case so that new gamers don't think turtling is a viable option...

    Sad but true.

The original poster describes a strategy that doesn't work and claims it does work.
