It's rather good so far, Vigil, although it is just a backstory.

I saw a couple of errors, nothing major:

1.  as it fed of entire planets...  of should be off.

2. So many diverse race...  race should be races.

3. It stayed because it that the assault...  This should probably be: It stayed because it believed that the assault...

Good work so far. I'm looking forward to the next update.
