X I Eat Rocks X:The other day I was playing a 3v3 and we were absolutely destroying the opposing team. They were down to two people and I think 3 bases. I had 70k+ supplies and over 13 bases. Then suddenly both of my teammates quit in a matter of 5 minutes. I could have easily destroyed them but all I could make would be overwhelmed by their team put together. They were both Covies and I was UNSC. Note this was well into the game so everybody had plenty of supplies but I simply couldn't counter the fact that two Covie teams can have a total of 100 units while I could only have 40. I stood no chance I realized after 2 hours+ of trying to fight them off. What really messed me up though was the fact that when my teammates quit out their bases became unused. This let my enimies simply walk over there and start creating more units and supplies. Eventually they started spreading because my x6 max cannons, disruption bombs, healing abilities, and ODSTs weren't enough to counter and army of 100.
My solution to making winning still possible when its a 2 on 1 is to make it so that if one of your teammates quit, your given the option to make another 40 units, if a UNSC teammate quit out, or another 50 units, if a Covie teammate quit out. This solution may not be the best but something has to be done because eventually you just get swarmed with units and no amount of upgrades can counter it (I had 120+ techs researched after the game). And for the bases becoming neutral when they quit, maybe just give it to you? Or maybe make that base uninhabitable? Something needs tweaking here.
Highlighted Suggestions:
1. AI replaces your teammate that quits out. The AI's difficulty could respond to the Trueskill level of opposing team?
Please, discuss and FIX. I'm open to suggestions.
Yeah, I'm sure Ensemble is going to reconfigure a big chunk of game code just to make you happy. Oh, wait, Ensemble doesn't exist. And if they did, they wouldn't give a rat's ass about what you think, as they demonstrated so clearly when they made Halo Wars the lackluster aim-for-the-middle, "my first RTS game" , despite all the outcries of concerned gamers they received along the way.
I apologize.
But I'm not sorry.
And I meant all of it.
Okay, I don't apologize
