katanascorner:The Spartans are much more intelligent and RC military strategy is severely lacking (see my earlier post). Even once the enhancements and armor evens it up a bit Spartans have access to, or can create themselves, better weapons and know how to use them, having been trained in all kinds of strategy, science, and even mathematics. I've only played the game, but can the RC armor take a tactical nuke?
Really now, something in the Star Wars universe that uses hilariously bad tactics?
When old fashioned, point blank, broadsides made sense ships used sails, had crappy short range cannons, and were made of wood...apparently this is how it works in Star Wars?

...Or using blasters (which are blockable) against light sabers when something with a spread pattern would work better...

But back to the conversation at hand. You're right. The Republic Commando's are simply not strong enough to stand against Spartans, who have (un)natural strength and powered suits. Plus, they wear white armor--which is really bad camouflage unless you live on Hoth.
Also, their armor isn't exoskeletal over their entire body, meaning that a fall that will break my leg will break their leg. In a Spartan's armor, ignoring their super strong bones, the fact that the suit fits them like a glove and the rigidity of the entire structure (the black colored articulating joints are made of extremely rigid nano polymer that only moves in response to their muscles and brain impulses--its not made of an elastic plastic or cloth) ensures that nearly all the energy of an impact is evenly dispersed on their entire body. The difference here is between throwing an egg in a shoe box from your roof and throwing an egg nestled in a jar of peanut butter. Guess which one will survive. Rigid exoskeletal armor is just way better to resist harsh landings, explosions, and projectile impacts. Oh, and Spartans have lightning fast reaction times, faster then even the most abnormally fast human.
