I'm sorry prophet of pain but children don't develop the ability to have fun until they are at least 4 years old, sometimes younger for girls. If you ever see them smile or laugh before that time it's probably just gas and you need to smack them gently on the back with the palm of your hand until they poop. When he looked at the halo wars poster and then called you master chief he was probably mocking you because children are cruel at that age.

umm thats why babies laugh and if you have a brain you have all the senses...so you could laugh....the brain expands, it doesnt develop new sections of the brain.

Thanks Iraqiunit for confirming that he can have fun at 2. I was fairly sure he could! If it wasn't possible then there would be no incentive for me to play with him all day when he's sick. I could just stick him in a broom cupboard because he wouldn't know any different. I am very aware that he can NOT have fun, because then he cries a lot, says "no" repeatedly and generally makes my life difficult.

He still might have been mocking me though!

I hope that you didn't agree with any of it because it's not true! I was just joking, I thought it sounded absurd enough that people would get it and especially with the pooping... sorry bud. Children deffinately know how to have fun, that's why they laugh and smile, not because of gas. Gas is only when they are very fresh babies, like from birth to 2 months. After that age they'd just cry if they had gas, lol. And I'm sure your little guy wasn't mocking you, you're the coolest person in the world to him and he could care less what you enjoyed as long as with he's with you :)
