Too many users were using the gigantic image in their signatures so we had to turn off images. 

In the past 2 years of the forum signatures have never been a problem, sure occasionally people wore too-big sigs, but it was never an issue before.

Part of what attracted people to this forum was the ability to identify and show your personality, compared to forums where it's text only, with a large forum people like to use images to differiante themself from others. Now that this is gone, alot of people are going to lose interest in the forum, myself included, I'm only sticking out till the release.

So Aloysius, alot of the problems with the forum have coincidentally started when you became the Moderator, if you want these forums to work, to survive, you need to give back to the people their individuality, otherwise the forum is too much like a grey sea, with everybody looking the same.

 HWF = Bungie.net but worse, Bungie net looks better and has avatars. The site is much too bland and boring now, the forums would slowly die after the games release, but removing sigs is now only speeding up the process. HWF used to be special, it was unique, not many large forums allowed you to maintain individuality, which is greatly needed when their are thousands of members, 54,297 to be precise. Put abit of an effort into the forums at least so that we can keep the signatures.
