Edit: looking at it in here, i need to redo blurring the chief. Some of it is bleh. for another day though.

Looks pretty epic to me. Don't erase around the Master Chief though, you ruin the render.

And don't always take these guys' advice...

For instance, keep the Master Chief blurry. He remains the focal point of the signature, and still blends into the signature enough so he isn't popping out. What other advice I can give you is to not put text in open, blank areas (unless its in an acceptable situation).
