I have a few issues with this spacecraft.

1: The windows on this fighter are not practical. They do not give the pilot nor the copilot the ability to see infront of them. They have to rely on instraments for that. I find that kind of design impractical as you have windows to give you a small side view. They should be able to see their target with the Mark I (eyeball) instead of reading it from a screen. This gives two levels of confermation on the target.

2: I do not find the design of the interior of the fighter to be of military standards. Even the B-2 bomber that the US has doesnt have room to stand up and walk around in. The flying fortresses of past ages didnt have that room either, they had crawl ways but that was it.

Military fighters are ment to be compact, fast and manuverable. Speed and manuverablilty arent much of a problem in space for a fighter but size is. They have created an area that shouldnt be there and puts the crew at a much higher risk during combat missions.

In all honesty I feel that this is probably the worst designed vehicle in all of Halo bar none. This means the Cyclops is better then this thing. Its just not a practical design for a military craft.

Longswords are meant to be space fighters. You need sensors to be able 'see' in space because of its vastness.

    that answers nothing...

Yes It does, the reason why the UNSC Longswords have a front mirror is because honestly the longsword was a LONG-RANGE fighter meant to take targets at long ranges, try to spot a ship in space at long range...YOU WILL NEVER FIND IT!, thats why you need sensors and Heat Detection systems to identify the target, and that might be the reason for the screen being directly infront of the pilot, as for its designed the Longsword is a Multi-role Fighter Bomber Craft, capable of long-range deep space missions, I think that would explain a few, and as for design its self...we'll there's no friction in space so I don't think Aerodynamics where considered that much.
