1. Once again, it didn't matter if they won on the ground anyways. Without a space victory everyone died anyways.

2. In the end, you did more damage to the Covenant than you would have without those ships

3. SPARTANS were finished, not Spartan II's. Think of how quickly something like a NOVA could have been put into effect or how many SMAC's they could put around their planets with the extra unds. THose alon would cause far mroe damage than a spartan would.

4. You have less and less people either way... They are gonna die no matter what you do, all you can decide is how they die. I say having them fight and take some Covie *** out is best, but if you like having them cower and melt away im not gonna argue with you.

5. With the extra funds they would have had many more ships that were also better, not to mention funding for other R&D

6. Like I said, the Grunts are the only ones to outnumber Humans(minus Hunters if you count them as single worms) and a Human soldier is far superior to a Grunt.
