didnt the cheif recieve repairs on the captial ship(i have very bad memory of names) by an engineer?
Correct however that Huragok only repaired his shield emiters on the current model he was wearing, the Mark V. The breach in his suit was never repaired and I still dont understand how he went out to repair the Ascendant Justice during the slipspace battle. It could be that there was some sort of atmosphere out there but I just dont know.
Anyways the point is other then the repair to his shield emiter no other work was done on his armor until he reached Earth. Until that time three different Spartan-II's had armor superior to his own.
Spartan-104 (Fred)
Spartan-087 (Kelly)
Spartan-043 (Will)
The Spartans mentioned above were still wearing the Mark V armor however they had some of the Mark VI armor systems intigrated into their current systems. This was accomplished by Dr. Halsey.
defendingiceman:I would have argued more with you frog, but since ocean has clarified my points, the only last point I am gonna make is that when designing the game, the lower layer is square blocking, just wiring with fill, then they add the layers of muscle, skin, fur, armor, and lastly light details.
If a character is in poor lighting or there is a sudden change in speed, say from a rocket shot that blew you away, there will be the momentary loss of the top layer, ie everything but the framework. What I am saying is that they used the same programming design in the games. The light details and better graphics can add more details, but why would they add all the extra stuff to the SAME armor, but have the helmets and armor look significantly different beyond greater detail.
So, the idea that they have the same armor in 1, 2, and 3 makes no sense considering all the dialogue, pictures, and comparisons that have been made.
Honestly dude please use paragraphs and proper punctuation. I know I dont use it all the time but I try to keep from making others eyes bleed with a block of text.
Now then, I understand the process of graphic design. I am studing it currently. However they used the already pre-existing models from the original Halo game to flesh out a new suit.
There are major differences in looks between the Mark V and Mark VI. I do not dispute this fact. However the helmet had changed very little in this process. The helmet was and still is one of the core icons of Halo. To completely change it is madness.
The wireframe in Halo 2 for the helmet is nearly identical to the one used in Halo CE. The only changes in that frame is the ridges on the crown of the helmet. The rest of the helmet was fleshed out and given some more estheticly pleasing looks. They moved the vents on the surface of the helmet, however that has nothing to do with the actual graphical structure of the helmet.
It is an esthetic change and nothing more.
It goes with out saying that the Mark VI is different then the Mark V however it is not different to the extreme. You and Ocean are talking about a completely different model set for this helmet which just wouldnt happen. The differences between the two helmets in both wireframe and esthetics are very very small in deed. I am not sure how I can make this point any clearer.
