Vaulting Frog and people like him are the whole reason why they should have the Flood as a playable faction, imagine it, everytime you have to play agenst someone online who decided to play as the Flood it would be like going over the first hill of a new roller coaster.  It would be scary but like an intense/nervous kind of scary, and then because of the constant charge kind of way the Flood fight (of corse with other stratagy too) it would be just as intense the whole fight until your ether consumed or you manage to cure the infection.  It would cirtainly be a different and refreshing experiance from fighting the Covies or Humans all the time.  Scary is good, which is why everyone says they wanted a big strong Scarab; because they wanted to be afraid of it.

And it goes likewise for the people not freaked out by the because they'll get the satification of scareing their opponents.  So I'm obviously for playable Flood, but only if it's done right.

yes but what about when your both flood? fun? i wouldnt think so. Flood are in, which is a mistake in itself, but just leave it to the AI. Plus if you get that kind of thrill from fighting the flood you've got problems. Plus its scarier fighting an AI enemy as you have no idea whatsoever they are going to do next.
