i like RTS a lot over FPS.

mainly because of balance issues.

in a good RTS there will always be the exact same things. everything else depends on the player.

for example the halo/unreal power weapons (especially H2) are in RTS games buildeable units, that both teams have, or that you know theyll have.

fps games sometimes turn kinda stupid (plasma sword) 

also, rts games require higher training skills and reflexes, plus a fairly food finger speed.

Although FPS is better in telling campaign stories IMO.
