Then again they didn't always jump and for them to traverse by land to other destinations they would have had to go through the deep swampy marsh which would have inevitably been within the vicinity of the swamp that 343 Guilty Spark occupied. I doubt they would have much trouble going through a deep swamp land, they're agile and strong. If they can go through coolant I'm sure they can handle the thickness of the swamp lands.
