"Sir, the Rebel ships are running." The Navigator pointed out.
"Good, we have won this battle but how many did their fleet drop on the planet before we responded?" Fleet master Wilka Wamamee asked.
"Sir, im reading over 10,000 Rebels on the surface of the planet. Our fleet can only send down 8,000."
"Call for reinforcements, by the time we get enough men from all our ships they will be fortified. We will call for reinforcements and send them in. Until then if they make too big of a base i want a missile shot at it." Said the Fleet Master. Though human missiles weren't that strong in space combat, a ship to ground attack would be good enough to wipe out a base without doing too much damage to the surrounding area.
"Sir, Rebel reinforcements!" The Navigator yelled.
"What? How many? Get all hands to battle stations." Yelled Wilka
"Sir, I see 30 ships in a loose circle formation." The rebels out numbered the elite alliance 2 to 1. Though the rebels usually had frigates as their main ship, this fleet had 5 battle ships, 10 destroyers, 2 carriers, and of course 13 frigates. The alliance only had only 7 destroyers, 6 battle ships and 1 carrier left after the first assualt.
"How long until reinforcements arrive?" The Fleet Master asked, with unusual ease in his voice.
"Sir, 5 hours." This time it was communications that talked.
"Weapons control, charge all lateral lines. Try and get some UNSC help, I think this is a bigger operation than originally thought." Said Wilka. He recieved a quick grunt from both the comunications, and weapons controls. A grunt was the Sangeihli equvalent of an 'aye' that the Humans said. Soon there would be no UNSC as they were joining under alliance though having different names, Human alliance, Unggoy alliance, Sangehli alliance, Huragok alliance and of course the Lekgolo alliance.
"Sir, the rebels are firing!"
"return fire, make sure shields are up." Wilka knew the shields were up but he wanted to make sure.
