I have always been a big fan of Microsoft but at the moment they just suck. Ensemble are responsible for some of the best games I have ever played. As a kid hours and hours of fun was had in Age of Empires. Why the hell would you shut down such a great studio?
It would not surprise me if the dev's who get to remain for now quit anyway even if they are getting offered stuff to remain. IMO if this is true which now looks very likely Microsoft have more or less killed Halo Wars. Even if most of the core staff stay it’s going to have no one to support it after the game comes out with DLC and that sort of thing.
Makes me question what Microsoft’s up to with all the 1st party studios going away…..
