    Swissdude21:

first off "et tu" means "and you" in french, spanish and latin as well as probably a couple other languages that i can't think of right now.  Thats why latin is called a root language because it is the language that all the european languages built off of, thus explaining all the similarities.

Now back to the Brutes.  In the Vidoc they explained why their were so many problems with the Brutes, because they brought them in late in the game and didn't really have time to explain their position.  I think a well established more explained Brute enemy would be a good thing.  And it would be retarded for them to take out the elites, they are a key part in the war.

Now I have a question, its a bit off topic but its a brute weapon so I think it relates.  In the Vidoc when they are explaining the classes of Brutes.  What is the gun that the Brute Chieftan is shooting?  It looks like a beam rifle but its shooting a heck of a lot faster than one.

Lastly about the supposed Elite Human Alliance.  Remember that the Elites are a race, so just like how the humans have their rebels and rifts in the race, we must of course assume that the Elites have these as well.  So even if the Elites declared an alliance with the humans, that does not mean that every elite is going to agree.  In light of this the info really does point towards their being an alliance of some kind.  For example the common enemy could have united them, the betrayal by the prophets could have turned the elites.  And the respect that the Elites have for the humans keeps this idea open.  (I forget where it says it, but there's a line in one of the books where the Elites question the Prophets on why such a formidable opponant which has proven itself worthy, the humans, has not been asked to join the covenant.

My dear friend...Et tu means "even you?"...I know cuz I did Julius Caesar...
