I think the only thing that really has killed me so far as being true to the halo series is that the Covenant ships i've seen in this recent trailer look NOTHING like the other covenant ships.

And how many classes of Covenant ship have we actually seen? Cruisers and Carriers follow a streamlined design. But do Spirits and Phantoms? No, because they're different ship types, just like the Infinite Succor.

The Covenant ships are probably destroyers and/or frigates.

I'm curious, have you ever read the Halo books, you know, at all?  They go describe them in detail. I'll tell you one thing, you never EVER get a description that can be twisted around to match the looks of those ships.  ES's covenant warships are way to boxy. they don't have the enging pods found on every other covenant ship, and they totally destroy the "whale-like/insectoid" appearance commonly uses to describe them.  They lack the plasma torpedo launchers.

the stern section just does not have anything else like it in the covenant navy. That "X" stern is definitely one spotting feature that would have been mentioned.  Not to mention, the stern section is so boxy that it totally betrays the styling we see on all covenant ships.  even the kina boxy "spirits" from Halo CE were rounded over and smooth. The bow is kinda close, except that even it's shape doesn't really seem to match the covenant's usual way of doing things. It just doesn't look covenant.

And don't try to tell me that a phantom isn't streamlined.   I don't take infinite succor seriously either, because some comic book artist drew it up. Are you going to tell me that elites have two mandibles because in that last comic in the book thats what they had?  Give me a break.
