I just feel that the dashboard is losing it's integrity. If they offer you the ability to shun the avatars, and have a regular gamertag (and not have to see others' avatars) I'll be happy. 

    As a whole, the update is great. I think it looks less aesthetically pleasing, but it has some really great features. As long as all things avatar are optional, I'll be ok.
