It was probably me. And guess what? Human's aren't forerunner. Everything points against it.

I'm sure while taking words out of context in Halo 3 you also missed the vast wealth of knowledge in the terminals, talking about how the forerunners found Earth and the humans and "adopted" them, so to speak.
