Thoughts on use of Chatpad in game

I'm new here so forgive me if someone has already brought this up.  I was thinking today that since they have released the chatpad has it been considered as another input device for the game.  For instance I thought about when playing PC RTS games, being able to jump around to different locations or differnet units by just pressing a number instead of the usual hitting the same button to cycle through all options we usually get with the console RTS's. I'm sure there could be other uses but just wanted to check to see if this subject had been visited.  And if I wanted to send this to Ensemble, what would be the best way...do they read the forums here regularly or would an email be better?

     Thanks for any advice/questions/comments,

Looks like it has already been discussed in one thread, seems like some people think that since it is being designed from the ground up for a controller it will work fine which I dont disagree with but I do think thet having the option to at least use the chatpad to jump to units you create or locations would be a useful thing instead of having to cycle through items.
