Yeah...I think they showed Jorge for a split second in the original, but otherwise it's new.

I meant like the non-visor part.  Even that was too shiny though.  Have you ever taken a real look at the luster of MC's helmet? It's only semi-shiny.  After running through all that dust, and possibly seeing combat, Thom's helmet shouldn't be that shiny and pristine, even if he'd just gotten a new one pre-mission.

The loss at Reach was a win within itself: all those days, hours, even minutes, were days, hours, and minutes that the Covies WEREN'T using to attack Earth. The Spartans- and humanity itself- sacrificed a lot to hold them off, even for that tiny amount of time...
