They arn't giving out a due date because there isn't one, the developers don't even know.  Best guess is early next year.

When the next update anyways. They should have weekly updates.

Look at that date. Do you honestly think that is a real date? Even if it somehow was why would they wait AFTER christmas season to sell it? That is just bad marketing.....

They also woudnt release it than since they would still be competing with Halo 3(remember not everyone will have got a preorder), and lets face it no game can really compete agianst it.

Hmmm, I wonder if the hype has died down enough to give Halo Wars part of the spot light? I hope so.

 I dont think it will be released on the 31st in response to some of the above posts. If anything it would be before christmas, thats when the video game sales go up.
