    Halo Waypoint and Halo Wars

    Hey everyone,
     
    As most of you know, Halo Wars and HaloWars.com are transitioning more closely into the Halo Waypoint family.
     
    As of this weekend, Halo Waypoint will oversee both Halo Wars’ matchmaking and stat tracking servers, as well as HaloWars.com as we continue to bring the Halo universe together as never before.
     
    Before I continue, the Waypoint team would like to thank the amazing group at Robot Entertainment, who have spent the past year working closely with the Halo Wars community, helping to build a vibrant, dedicated fan base, and we look forward to supporting the Halo Wars community as the Halo universe continues to expand and evolve.

    Feel free to ask any questions you may have, and I will do my best to answer them (or find the answer), though there are a couple things I would like to throw out there right off the bat...

    Will there be a Halo Wars 2?

    There is currently no information to share about the possibly of future Halo Wars games. We understand the desire from the Halo Wars community for another installment of Halo Wars, but for now the focus in regard to Halo game titles is squarely on supporting Bungie as they prepare to launch Halo: Reach this Fall.

    Will there be more Halo Wars DLC?

    Likewise, there is currently no new information on additional Halo Wars DLC. 

    Aside for that, feel free to fire away with any questions and/or concerns and I will fill you in as best I can over the course of the next week.

    Thanks for the welcome.

    I've dealt with some pretty heavy fires in the past, so I think I can handle it, but thanks for the heads-up.

    I've dealt with some pretty heavy fires in the past, so I think I can handle it, but thanks for the heads-up.

    Fire-extinguishing bazooka, eh? I like that. Maybe I'll add it to my arsenal...

    GLYPH'S ARSENAL OF DOOM: A partial list of tools, weapons and attitudes needed for survival in the event of an outbreak of Web Trolls, Flame Wars and/or the occasional error in judgment (to name a few).

    • Experience with enthusiastic (yet occasionally rabid) forum behavior? Check.
    • Banhammer? Check (and fully charged).
    • Desire to have a good time and partake in some good conversation while sharing my enthusiasm for Halo with a similarly enthused community, and doing my best to provide that community with as many general details and as much up-to-date information on the main topic at hand (Halo Wars) as possible? Check.
    • Patience for those who would seek to threaten said good time, good conversation and information transferal with unacceptable and immature behavior? Nonexistent.
    • Fire-extinguishing cannon? On order.

     Then put a blindfold on, and start running around the server room with your finger pionted out, in the general direction of the "DELETE ALL" button.

    Then it'll be an accident!

    Welcome to one of the most flamiest forums on the internet.  It really is--no joke.  I have a question too.  If we get more content for Halo Wars like updates and dlc, will you Waypoint guys make it or will you get Robot to make it?
