I don't think nukes would be a good idea, they would have to be tactical, not strategic size for proper game balancing, and what if the unit carrying the nuke was killed? You would have wasted resources to accomplish nothing, unlike a scarab obliterating the enemy before being destroyed itself by a MAC round. So while nukes would be cool, I think it would just waste space on the selection menu.

Actually, I came up with a good way to deploy nuclear weapons. Search for Cruise Missiles.

And if you fail to defend something as important as the nuclear weapon, you deserve the loss of resources.

Then you should be pretty happy with the game; it's a lot of fun.

thats why their called Tac-nukes...duh, those are pretty much the only kind in halo

and it won't be a unit carries a nuke, its a expensive power fon most assualt units, that nearly instantly deploys a tac-nuke, then the tac-nuke counts down for so long

The problem with the Furies is that they are basically a suicide weapon. How is a regular soldier going to throw it and get to minimum safe distance?

They have different triggers..bungie aren't like other companies/movies and equip EVERYTHING with a 10 second timer..they can be manualy done, sensor activated, ect, or a really long assed timer

I'm hoping they don't add nukes..it'd turn into a generic game if they add too many super weapons/powers..

Maby a campaign mission like the spartans had, where they had to distract covie forces while another team planted a nuke that'd go off when the next ship touched down

Furies can take out a 2km area, they're tactical nukes, they're the WMB equivilent of a surgeon's knife, and it was an A-bomb at hiroshima

a nuke is a nuke. If It cant destroy a whole two cities. then its not a nuke.

    Up with mushroom clouds!

so if a nuke cant kill 2 whole cities that are on different continents/spaced apart then its not a nuke

    NUKE=nuclear

    rzgrz:
a nuke is a nuke. If It cant destroy a whole two cities. then its not a nuke.

It is called a nuke because it contains radioactive elements, just like some nuclear power plants (homemade ones) can only power a toaster. It is the type of energy it harnesses that defines the type of bomb it is, not the size of the explosion.

Ninja, are you saying that all units would have the bomb and you could choose to deploy it from them, or that they would be on missles?
If it is the first, it doesn't make logical sense as the UNSC could/would not waste so many bombs (they would fall unused with the soldiers carrying them). If it is the latter, then it is pretty much an equivalent to a mac round plus EMP. So, I guess the latter would work as it would allow it to be launched from the "ground" (vehicle, building, aircraft; but not the orbiting scape ship(s)).

A Halo Wars Story: Once upon a time, there was a light bridge. On that light bridge, there were many covenant. When the UNSC turned the bridge off, the covenant fell. The End.
